O Braga Meetings de Ética e Filosofia Política é um evento anual organizado pelo Centro de Ética, Política e Sociedade (CEPS) da Universidade do Minho (Braga, Portugal). Nos últimos anos, os Meetings estabeleceram a reputação de proporcionar aos investigadores uma excelente oportunidade de apresentar trabalhos avançados e exploratórios a uma audiência acolhedora.

Desde a edição de 2022, o formato dos Meetings passou a estar em torno de uma série de painéis centrados na agenda de investigação do CEPS e uma série de mesas redondas, simpósios de livros e sessões informais para discutir oportunidades de investigação e financiamento.

Para além dos painéis convocados pelos investigadores do CEPS, este ano os Meetings abrirão também uma convocatória de painéis de investigadores, tanto juniores como seniores, não pertencentes ao nosso centro. No entanto, será dada prioridade a painéis sobre temas próximos da agenda de investigação do CEPS (que podem ser encontrados no nosso website).

 

Diretrizes para apresentação de candidaturas:

As candidaturas para participar num dos painéis enumerados no website do evento ou as propostas para um novo painel (enumerando o tema e os participantes porque não são permitidos painéis abertos) devem ser feitas através da apresentação de um breve resumo. Note que o prazo para a apresentação de resumos e propostas de painéis é segunda-feira, 3 de Abril de 2023.

The Braga Meetings on Ethics and Political Philosophy is an annual event organized by the Centre for Ethics, Politics and Society (CEPS) at the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal). The Meetings have established in the last years a reputation for providing scholars with an excellent opportunity to present both advanced and exploratory work to a welcoming audience.?

Since the 2022 edition, the format of the Meetings changed as the event began to be organized around a series of panels focusing on the CEPS’s research agenda and a number of round tables, book symposiums, and informal sessions to discuss opportunities for research and funding.

In addition to the panels convened by researchers from the CEPS, this year the Meetings will also open a call for panels from researchers, both junior and senior, not belonging to our centre. Priority, however, will be given to panels on themes close to the CEPS’s research agenda (which can be found on our website).

 

Submission Guidelines:

?Applications can be made by submitting either a short abstract for one of the panels listed on the event website, or a proposal for a new panel, including the subject and the lists of participants (open panels are not allowed). Please note that the deadline for abstract and panel proposals is Monday, 3 April 2023.
